We all love Christmas, and one of the most amazing things about this incredible season is that we get to spend it with our family and loved ones. However, although this season comes with great sales with amazing discounts, it can still take a toll on your bank account and as a mom you want your kids to have a very memorable Christmas regardless of your financial situation.
We know that seeing your kids’ faces light up when they get their presents or get to go on fun trips this season is worth every dollar spent. However, no one said you can’t save during the holidays; so, in this post, we will highlight some amazing tips to help you and your family have an incredible Christmas even on a tight budget.
If you are already feeling a tad stressed out over all the dollars you’re about to spend this season, then this post is specifically for you, so sit back, have a cup of hot cocoa and let’s discuss how you can impress your kids with an amazing Christmas without having to break the bank.
Can’t Afford a Christmas Tree? What about that House Plant? Don’t get sad just yet. If your kids are really young you can definitely get away with decorating a really nice house plant you have with beautiful Christmas ornaments and/or lights. They won’t know the difference if they’re really young, and they will be more focused on the gifts under the “tree” anyway.
Traditions are memorable and cost zero dollars! know Each year I create a list of fun family things to do every Christmas. I make up a list of great activities like making decorations, baking, having Grinch night, driving up to see the neighborhood decorations, arts, and crafts, etc., and my kids look forward to our list every Christmas.
Wrap Every Single Thing. No matter how small you think your gift is, make sure you wrap it. Whether it’s a stocking stuffer or a big gift, your kids will be more excited that there are so many things to unwrap.
Start Early. You can set aside a couple of dollars from every paycheck you get over the year and take advantage of all the black Friday sales on Christmas gifts to avoid the rush hour prices. This will help you get amazing gifts at really discounted prices and you will save a ton!
Remember that with Christmas, the magic of the season lies in the memories you create. So, above everything else, try to create fun, exciting memories with your kids that they will remember even when they are older. Don’t focus too much on gifts, but the love you share for each other is the secret to having an incredible Christmas celebration.
