Give the gift of experiences

December 10, 2019

One of the things both adults and children look forward to during Christmastime is –you guessed it, Gifts! Everyone looks forward to what they’ll receive as well as what they’ll give because Christmas season is well known as the season of giving. Now, gifts come in a variety of forms – whether it’s the car you’ve always wanted or an experience created with family.

I believe that gifts of experiences bring more long term happiness than traditional gifts. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with traditional gifts, but the gifts of experiences are just known to be more valuable especially for family and friends. I’ve rounded up some of the most unique experiences for you to gift this year. Let’s get right to it, shall we?

The Gift of Live Games

When you get seasonal passes for your partner or friend’s favorite sports team, they’ll adore you for life. This experience can also be shared with as many friends as you want and it will not be forgotten in a hurry.

The Gift of Culture and Travel

You can get tickets for you and your friends to experience a new culture in a new city or country. There is no better way to get to know a new place than with your friends. You can take wine tasting classes if it’s a wine country you visit – there will be several other things for you and your friends to experience. Gift your friends a cultural experience this season and watch how they react. You’re welcome!

The Gift of Concerts and Festivals

You’re never too old to go to a concert or a festival so why don’t you buy the tickets for you and your friends’ favorite concerts and gift it to them. Concert experiences are never forgotten and with this gift, you get to have a good time as well.

The Gift of Family Time

Nothing says family time like going on vacation or visiting the zoo. You can gift your family tickets to Disney World this holiday period, they’ll thank you for it. Visiting the zoo or the museum are also fun ways to spend quality time with your family. Nothing beats the gift of shared experiences, especially among family.

The Gift of Learning Something New

You can purchase spots in a class so your friends or partner can learn a new skill. Some of the common skill classes which are usually gifted include cooking, baking, and photography. When you give somebody this gift, they’ll always think of you when they are doing it.

There are a lot more other gifts of experiences you can give, you just have to use your imagination. It is important to remember that experiences don’t go out of style which makes them the perfect gift. Traditional gifts are good to have but gifts of experiences last forever in the form of memories. A major selling point of experiential gifts is that they are meant to be shared. This means you get to have as much fun as the person you are gifting the experience too. Sounds pretty cool, right?
