Fall is easily one of my favorite seasons for so many reasons. I love the crisp weather, the soothing cloudy weather, the holidays, the beautiful scenery.. I mean doesn’t that just scream #CuddleWithBae!? I like to take full advantage of the different seasons and have fun themed date nights, so below are a few fall date night ideas that will work regardless of where you live.
1. Go to the fair or local festival. One of my favorite things about fall in our small town is when the fair comes to town! From the food, to the games, and even the rides, a night at the fair is a fun idea for any budget.
2. Forget Netflix and chill, it’s all about football & grill! Have your man get on the grill while you make the tailgate snacks and cocktails, and prepare yourself for a good time. We have our Alabama & Grambling attire that we wear when our teams are playing and we snuggle up and enjoy the game in the living room or sometimes out on the patio. Our neighbors are big Alabama fans too, so we have already planned a few couples date nights to watch the game, and I can’t wait!
3. Go to a corn maze or pumpkin patch at sunset. Pumpkin patches and corn mazes are cute places for family dates, but at sunset the scenery is so romantic and the perfect place to create new memories and traditions with your significant other.
4. Have a picnic in the park. This is one of my favorite date day ideas because it’s effortless! Not only is the weather perfect, because isn’t too hot or cold, but it’s a very inexpensive date idea. Be sure to wear cute tennis shoes so that after your picnic you two can walk those calories off.
5. Have a staycation. Take a weekend to stay at the nicest hotel your budget will allow and explore your city like complete tourist. You might be surprised by the gems that you find right in your own backyard.
6. Go on a baecation. If you work in an industry that has “fall break” like we do, use that time to take a nice fall vacation. You may have to do a little more planning if you don’t have built in vacation time for a fall break, but every couple could use a good baecation every now and then.
7. Learn to cook a dish together to bring to thanksgiving dinner. Find your favorite Pinterest idea, play some mood music, pour a glass of wine, and get cooking.
8. Dress up in couples costumes and greet the kids in your neighborhood for Halloween.
What are some of your favorite fall date night ideas? Even if you don’t do any of these activities, get together with your significant other and do something, because afterall #DateNightsMatter!
