Don’t get me wrong, I love adding pops of color to my nails, especially in the summer, but as I’ve gotten older I tend to stick to nudes and neutrals, so I typically rotate between my holy grail colors year round. This post features all OPI colors, because they are my favorite nail polish brand, and I’m excited to collaborate with OPI to bring you my seven must have nail polishes that every woman should have.
“Bubble Bath” – this beautiful color is my go-to when I am in the mood for something clean and neutral. It falls in the nude category, but it does have slight pink undertones. This color is not only perfect for spring/summer, but it is also perfect for events like weddings, baby showers, or job interviews. Although I love this color I will admit that I only wear this color when I am wearing my nails long and almond shaped. I go back and forth between long acrylic nails and natural gel manicures almost monthly, so I only wear this color when my nails are longer.
“Alpine Snow” – there are few things that I love more than an icy white polish on my nails and toes. I’m obsessed! What I love about Alpine Snow is that it is a true white and not an off white, cream, or ivory. Alpine Snow is my go to color for summer!
“Dulce De Leche” & “Samoan Sands” – sorry ladies, when it comes to nudes I have quite a few favorites, so I couldn’t decide between Dulce De Leche and Samoan Sands to take the top spot. I love these colors for different reasons. Dulce De Leche is the perfect brown girl nude whereas Somoan Sands is a tan nude with hints of peach. I once wore rotated between Dulce De Leche and Samoan Sands for like 3 months straight! It’s that good!
“Cajun Shrimp” – this is such a fun color that really brings the heat! Whenever I want to switch it up with something bold and make a statement I always reach for Cajun Shrimp, because it is a OG OPI staple. The combination of pink, red, and orange makes for an instant summer classic!
“Lincoln Park After Dark”- This deep dark purple that is almost black serves as my holy grail winter color. It’s just something about this shade that feels so chic, stylish, and fierce. Unlike Bubble Bath, I ONLY wear this color on my natural nails when they are short and neatly filled, because this color on long nails gives a completely different vibe than what I usually go for, but that’s just my personal preference.
“Malaga Wine” – Oxblood is the new black, and the moment fall rolls around this is the first nail polish that I reach for. I usually apply two or three coats, depending on how vampy I want the shade to be. This color varies in the light so if you want a deep merlot color I would do three coats just in case.
All of these amazing colors can be found in OPI “Make It Iconic” collection which features some of their most iconic shades of all time. What are your holy grail nail colors?
