Although I love shopping for my little ones, I like to be realistic about how much I am willing to spend on clothing for my children. When I had my first child, my daughter, I was the typical new mom who wanted my baby girl to have the best of the best. I searched high and low for the perfect “going home from the hospital” outfit and settled on a $100 dress from Dillard’s along with a matching bow and booties, that was another $50. I quickly realized that those purchases were not the wisest use of my money because she only wore that dress and booties once and I lost the bow. While I still want the best of the best for my children, I realize that they grow so fast and I’m constantly buying new clothes and shoes. If you’re anything like me and you want to save money while also keeping your kids cute as a button, I’ve listed 6 places that give me the most bang for my buck when it comes to kid’s clothing.
- Old Navy. Old Navy is surprisingly one of my favorite places to shop for my children and is a staple in their wardrobe. I would have never imagined that I would like shopping at Old Navy, because I hated that place growing up and I hardly shop there for myself. Old Navy has really great quality items and an amazing selection of baby and toddler clothes, shoes, jackets, and hats.
- Crazy 8. I usually purchase from Crazy 8 during the spring and summer months, because the material is kind of thin. Despite that one drawback, the shoes are usually super cute and they always are having a really good sale.
- Pop Real. Pop Real has some of the cutest items EVER, but they run kind of small so I typically order a size up. I love that they are so affordable because I can make sure that my kids are fashionable and on trend for each season without breaking the bank. Pop Real even has a section of mommy & me outfits, and matching brother & sister outfits. I love love love when my kids are matching. I’m that mom.
- EBay/Amazon. Amazon and EBay are where it’s at for trendy but inexpensive children’s accessories! I get everything from toddler handbags, trendy toddler sunglasses, bows, and baby hats from EBay. My daughter has the most extensive hair bow and sunglasses collection all thanks to EBay!
- The Children’s Place. I love the “shop the look” feature they have on their website, so if I like the way an outfit is styled on the model I can purchase the entire outfit at a really affordable price. I suggest signing up for My Place Rewards, because the more that you shop the more that you save!
- H&M. What I love about H&M Kids is that most of the items they carry are in neutral colors without a lot of busy prints or designs. I love dressing my kids in monochromatic and classic looks. My local H&M doesn’t have the best kid’s selection so I typically order online and the shipping is always pretty quick! I love their selection of boy’s items, so I’ve already started on my son’s winter collection now that he is getting a little older.
When my kids get a little older, maybe elementary age, we will splurge a little more on their clothes; but for now these stores do just fine. What are some of your favorite places to shop for your little ones?
