three reasons why you need a daily agenda

March 26, 2018

Using a daily agenda is an absolute necessity when it comes to managing your time and organizing your life. During the first few months as a new mom I would find myself completely overwhelmed from juggling mom responsibilities, wife duties, grad school, business deadlines, bills, meals, events…. Whew! It was a lot. In a perfect world we could probably handle the million things that we juggle each day without having to write anything down, but realistically, you need a document to track the tasks that you have to complete each day.

Here are my top three reasons why you should use a daily agenda:

You Get More Done

The saying “what gets scheduled, gets done” is so true.  Did you know that the likehood of you actually taking action on tasks dramatically increases when you write down what you intend to do. You also will prioritize things that are most important when you start your day with purpose and map out a plan for the day.

You Prevent Mistakes

If you’re a woman who has a lot on her plate, you can rest assure that you will miss appointments, due dates, or other important things when the only thing you have to rely on is your memory. Keeping things in a daily agenda also prevents you from spreading yourself too thin and overcommitting to things that you just don’t have time for. The consequence of forgetting an important deadline can be embarrassing, damaging to relationships, or costly.

You Waste Less Time

Have you even gone into the grocery store without a shopping list? You usually spend more time in the store than you need to and somehow you leave the store with everything except what you went in there for in the first place. Grocery shopping with a shopping list makes a mundane task more tolerable, just like having a daily agenda ensures that you spend more time on what matters and less time on what doesn’t.

With April being right around the corner we are days away from entering the second quarter of 2018, and now is as good a time as any to get more intentional with your time management. No more wandering through the day aimlessly forgetting important things that you need to know or do. No more writing your to-do list down on the back of envelopes or sticky notes that you accidently throw in the trash. To make sure that you have a more effective way to plan your day I’ve created a printable daily agenda that you can reuse as often as you like. This daily agenda maps out your day from start to finish, from your top three priorities for the day to what you’re having for dinner. From now on let’s focus on seeing maximum results with minimum distractions, and this daily agenda will help you with that. To access your copy of the daily agenda click here. Download your daily agenda and successfully crush your day! After all, how is tomorrow going to be what you want it to be if you don’t plan for it today?
